The Ultimate Guide to the Michigan Wolverines at the 2024 Paris Olympics

Forty-two Forty-three athletes who played for Michigan and two coaches will attend this year's Olympics. This is the most comprehensive school-specific guide to the Olympics on the internet. There is a daily schedule of events Wolverine athletes are participating in. There are pages for each sport, with a short bio of every athlete, notes on how the events work, and TV info.

I'm jay, and this is my blog All Blue. Throughout the year I write a weekly newsletter about Michigan Olympic sports. I took an unplanned hiatus during the last month of the athletic year, but the Olympics only come around every four years (usually, anyways), so we're back. If you're looking for a place to start, read this preview column. I'll write a couple more like that in the next two weeks.

Throughout the Olympics, I'll keep everything updated, and this page will have daily recaps and previews. If you want to watch Michigan athletes compete, maybe in some sports you might not have otherwise turned on at all, bookmark this page.

Today

• Very light day. Early morning has one of the last swimming prelims we're interested in these olympics.
• As long as the Canada boat doesn't lose their five-boat repechage, they'll be in the final.
• More team sports.

Yesterday

• MEDAL! Siobhan Haughey wins her second bronze of the Olympics in the 100m free.
• Shelina Zardosky and Canada somehow made the knockout rounds.
• Juda and Richard competed in the individual all-around, neither were particularly likely to medal going in, and neither did.
• Aussie Water Polo and USA Volleyball win, USA Field Hockey loses.

There are two ways to watch the Olympics: on any of the various channels in the NBC umbrella, or streaming.

On TV, NBC and USA are the main channels, with E!, CNBC, and Golf Channel providing overflow. NBC broadcasts will tend to go between action and human interest pieces, but if the schedule says something is going to be live on NBC, it probably will be. I think, in general, the TV schedule will largely reflect what is actually on TV, though there will be some changes.

Every single event will also be on both Peacock and the NBC Sports app. If you're a Peacock subscriber (or, like me, get it for free for being an Xfinity subscriber), that will probably be the better interface. If you have a cable login but not Peacock, the NBC Sports app will have the same content.

The important thing about the streaming options is they will have event-specific streams. If you do not want to jump around in coverage at all, I suggest streaming that event. There are also a number of Peacock exclusive events, especially team sports and early rounds.
