Format Notes
The ten teams are split into two groups. They will play a full four-game round-robin, with the top four from each group making it to the single-elimination eight team knockout rounds. All losing teams will participate in placement matches.
Athlete Bio
Abby Andrews has been a mainstay on the Australian women’s water polo team since before her time at Michigan. This is Andrews’ second Olympics, as she was in Toyko. At Michigan, she won CWPA Rookie of the Year as Michigan won the 2019 conference title. Her 2.2 assists per game that season remains a Michigan record. After her freshman season, she left Michigan and did not continue a career in US collegiate water polo.
