The women’s individual triathlon is contested as a single event. In the mixed relay, two men and two women each participate in an abbreviated triathlon, in relay format.
Athlete Bio
Sophie Linn will be competing in her first Olympics, and will compete in both the women’s triathlon and the mixed relay. She was on the team that won bronze in the mixed relay at the 2022 Commonwealth games. Linn is currently ranked 70th in the world, but is 31st this season. At Michigan, Linn primarily ran cross country, though like most cross country athletes she did also participate in track distance events. She was part of the team that won the 2017 Big Ten Cross Country Championship.
